Turn information into action.

Share a short summary of the product name, intended use and destination country. Indicate if the product is still in development, as the scope may differ from a product already on the market.

A current recipe, ingredient specifications, available analytical reports and label draft are useful starting documents. Sharing an inventory of available documents at the first meeting, rather than their contents, can also help define the scope.

Clarify your print or launch schedule, your teams' questions and the deliverables you expect. Agree on the method for transferring sensitive commercial information and confidentiality terms before work begins.

Bring the product summary onto one page

The product name, intended use, target consumer, pack quantity and sales channel are the core fields. If the product is in development, state which information is final. For multiple countries or recipes, separate product codes make the review scope easier to understand.

Identify missing documents at the start

An initial scope meeting can take place without a complete technical dossier. List the documents you have separately from records still awaited from suppliers. Discovering a gap during the review can change the schedule; identifying it at the outset allows responsibility and priorities to be assigned.

Separate technical questions from design requests

A label review assesses existing information and presentation from a regulatory perspective. New artwork, translation or laboratory analysis may require different scopes. Clarifying which questions concern technical compliance and which require separate implementation work helps align delivery expectations.

Agree on sharing and delivery formats

Before work starts, agree on a sharing channel for commercially sensitive formulas. A brief product summary is sufficient in the initial contact form. Specifying whether you expect an annotated PDF, review table or meeting notes helps your team use the results directly.
