What do we assess together?
Claims on packaging and promotional materials are compiled in a separate inventory. The claim type, product composition and supporting documents are assessed together.
A statement's compliance cannot be established simply because similar products use it. Numerical conditions, mandatory accompanying information and country-specific regulations are checked at the time of review.

How is the scope of a claim established?
We first consider what the statement may mean to consumers and which technical characteristic supports it. A claim accepted for one product is not automatically transferred to another recipe. Where required conditions cannot be demonstrated, the finding remains open pending evidence. The report states which product and market the recommended wording was assessed for.
