What do we assess together?
Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 establishes the main framework for providing food information to consumers. The review covers matters such as mandatory information, allergen presentation and nutrition declarations.
Alongside general EU rules, we consider the language and relevant national requirements of the Member State where the product will be sold. A label prepared for one EU country is not assumed to be automatically sufficient for all countries.

The EU framework and national implementation
The common EU framework and topics needing destination-country verification are shown in the same table. A multilingual label is not assumed to comply in every country simply because it uses several languages. Product-specific rules and operator information are considered together, and the report identifies the countries and versions reviewed.
