Scope of this guide
Includes jurisdiction-specific archive records. Current legal effect, labelling provisions and product exceptions require separate verification.
PRODUCT REVIEW IN PRACTICE
Sri Lanka: product dossier priorities
For Sri Lanka, agree the scope of supplied Sinhala, Tamil or English text with the client and local contact. Link quantity, ingredient and usage statements across languages to one technical table. Check that shortened wording in one language does not imply a broader health or nutrition meaning in another.
Jurisdiction-specific legislation records
Archive dates do not confirm current legal effect. Titles retain their source language; this selection is not exhaustive.
| Instrument / source | Record date and type |
|---|---|
| Order under Section 23W of the National Environmental Act, No. 47 of 1980 prohibiting use of polythene in food wrappers. | 2017-09-01 Regulation |
How is the label review dossier prepared?
Collect artwork, recipe, allergen evidence and importer details for the same product version. Our working method explains the shared document-preparation and reporting steps.
