Scope of this guide
Includes jurisdiction-specific archive records. Current legal effect, labelling provisions and product exceptions require separate verification.
Regulatory sources and application framework
For this EU member market, research Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 together with product-specific rules. The European Commission explains that mandatory information must be in a language easily understood by consumers in the country of sale; national language and implementation matters require separate review. Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 is a separate source for nutrition and health claims. A common EU framework does not automatically validate every language version or product claim.
PRODUCT REVIEW IN PRACTICE
Slovakia: product dossier priorities
When comparing Slovak packaging with a shared Czech-market pack, review more than visible wording differences. Link the product description, nutrition table and allergen statement to the same recipe. Commercial statements requested by the distributor enter the technical review list for resolution before printing.
What do the selected sources cover?
Slovak records separate an amendment to labelling requirements from frozen-food rules. An amendment alone does not provide the entire underlying regulation. For a frozen-product dossier, research the general label text alongside storage and use scope through the relevant source chain.
Jurisdiction-specific legislation records
Archive dates do not confirm current legal effect. Titles retain their source language; this selection is not exhaustive.
| Instrument / source | Record date and type |
|---|---|
| Decree amending Decree on requirements for food labelling. | 2018-03-14 Regulation |
| Decree on frozen food and frozen products. | 2018-03-14 Regulation |
How is the label review dossier prepared?
Collect artwork, recipe, allergen evidence and importer details for the same product version. Our working method explains the shared document-preparation and reporting steps.
Document preparation and working method
Label review: evidence and findings table
| Review scope | Evidence reviewed | Report output |
|---|---|---|
| Product name and class | Recipe, product form, intended use | Correct sources and review scope |
| Ingredients and allergens | Sub-ingredients, supplier and cross-contact records | Comparison of label text and evidence |

| Language and layout | Every face, local wording and supplementary label | Missing-information and readability findings |
| Import and traceability | Importer, lot, dates and shipment version | Document needs and local confirmation questions |
Sources and research method
Sources are selected research references. An archive record does not confirm current legal effect; national adoption of Codex texts requires separate verification.
