Scope of this guide
Includes an application note linked to official sources, not a completed regulatory review for every product category.
PRODUCT REVIEW IN PRACTICE
Philippines: product dossier priorities
For the Philippines, assess English product presentation, the nutrition panel and the technical card supplied to the importer together. Clarify classification first if the product is presented as ordinary food, a supplement or another category. Combine packaging and social-media statements in one claims inventory.
Philippines: prepared volume for powdered drinks
FDA’s Administrative Order 2014-0030-A addresses identification of the sweetener type in covered sweetened beverages. For these beverages in powder form, it links the number of litres obtainable per pack to the directions for use. A powdered-drink label should therefore distinguish net powder weight, preparation ratio and resulting beverage volume. Compare the formula’s sweetener identity with the ingredients list as well. This addendum is not a standalone labelling code for every food; examine the underlying 2014-0030 order and the product’s specific scope together.
How is the label review dossier prepared?
Collect artwork, recipe, allergen evidence and importer details for the same product version. Our working method explains the shared document-preparation and reporting steps.

Sources and research method
Sources are selected research references. An archive record does not confirm current legal effect; national adoption of Codex texts requires separate verification.
